Every morning there seems to be a problem I encounter when driving to work. Regardless of what time I leave, I still manage to hit a little bit of traffic when I am going to work. While in traffic I manage to scream, get hot, and then I wonder, why is there traffic on the road when the design was idiot proof? Here in Jersey we have a law that you drive on the right and pass on the left. We even have cool little white signs on the side of the road that state the law. For some reason these great drivers in Jersey fail to see the sign and just cruise in the lane furthest to the left. I realized I am usually late to work because some asshole is cruising in the left lane with a car in the right lane directly next to him.
Look, if you don’t want to hit 75-80 on the road, please move your car to the right lane. If you are staying at a constant pace with the car next to you, please move to the right lane. If there is a car that appears to be within 5-10 feet in back of you in the left lane, please move to the right lane. Cars shouldn’t have to dip in and out of traffic because some idiot wants to cruise in the passing lane. Remember people, this lane should always be open except when you want to pass a car.
In no way do I have road rage or encourage it, I just want people to recognize the law of the road. Perhaps if people understood the past left rule, backups wouldn’t happen and I could drive stress free to work……..Now back to the regular ….
