June 10 marks the day I will do something I haven’t done in awhile!

IknowUknow that you haven’t bought 2 newly released CD’s on the same day. Well Lil Wayne has been all over the music scene, and that the Neptune’s haven’t produced together since we’ve had $3 gas. Well, June 10 marks the day that Lil Wayne’s “The Carter III” and the Neptune’s band alias (with friend Shay) N.E.R.D. drop “Seeing Sounds“. I don’t remember the last time that I purchased two new releases on the same day; I would probably have to think back to last year.

Lil Wayne’s “The Carter III” is definitely onto a good start with the singles that I heard; “Lollipop” and “A Millie“. Wayne has been dominating the music scene for the past two years, leaving us to highly anticipate his latest release. His strong emphasis on lyrics, his passion, and his energy will definitely not let fans down with this release. Neptune’s, N.E.R.D, haven’t released an album since 2004. Their first album, In Search of, is widely considered an alternative classic. I personally thought the album was great. Their second album wasn’t good to me so I will leave it alone. After hearing their new single, “Everyone Nose” (talking about Cocaine Usage with Girls), I was skeptic to hear this album, but after hearing a leaked track and the remix to “Everyone Nose”, I am ready to purchase “Seeing Sounds” along with the “Carter III” June 10.
